Our Primary Schools
Thanks to a massive investment over recent years new schools have emerged to add to our excellent school estate.
It is no surprise that having a great choice of schools is attracting people to come and live in this part of the city.
In the last 15 years - two new nurseries have been built: Glendhu and Ravenscroft, 5 new primary schools at Belmont, Dundonald, Orangefield, Cregagh, Campbell Prep. and Victoria Park and four secondary level schools : Grosvenor Grammar, Ashfield Girls, Our Lady & St. Patrick’s and Strathearn: the most recent addition completed in 2015.
We are also looking forward to the new schools for east Belfast at Avoniel/Emgrove and the Breda Academy new build proposed with the amalgamation of Newtownbreda and Knockbreda.
Check out all our schools and what they offer to pupils, parents and the wider east Belfast community below.
